RUN COACH, WELLNESS COACH,
MOM OF THREE AND LIFE-LONG LEARNER

I help women build sustainable wellness through movement, mindset and community - so they can feel strong, confident and joyful in every season of life.

Running is in my roots.png

My earliest memories center around pursuing an active lifestyle. I remember doing strength training with my mom in the basement with my "Get in Shape Girl" set in the late 80s as she trained for races. She always taught me that running was about more than just running, but more about breaking barriers and self-limiting beliefs, imposed by ourselves or others. She was one of 500 women to run Boston in 1982 and taught my sisters and I to never let limiting beliefs determine what we could or could not do.

The foundation that I gained from her led to a life-long love of running and appreciation of what movement can do for both our mind and bodies. My passion grew to share the benefits of running with others and after graduating from college I coached middle school and high school cross country and track for over 10 years

In new seasons, running became an anchor.png

In my mid-twenties, I felt the pull to race again and signed up for my first half marathon. I was hooked from the start. At 30, after having my daughter, I ran my first marathon and with quality coaching from my mom, qualified for the Boston Marathon. I’ll never forget the feeling of crossing that first marathon finish line, I had done something I never thought was possible for me.

In the years that followed, I welcomed two more children, and running became something deeper than training or racing. It became an anchor in a season of life that often felt impossible to measure. On days filled with endless laundry, snacks, school pickups, and unfinished to-do lists, running gave me one thing that could be completed. One thing that was mine. Running became a daily outlet, a place to reconnect with myself so I could more fully pour back into my family. The joy I felt through training and racing poured out into every other area in my life.

Throughout my thirties, I ran nine marathons: Columbus twice, Boston three times, Marine Corps, Last Chance BQ, Chicago, and New York. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for what running gave me in that decade — confidence, resilience, community, purpose, and memories I’ll

carry forever.

Then, when my youngest started kindergarten, life began to shift again. So did my priorities.

wellness became bigger.png

Since turning 40, my life and priorities started to shift. When my youngest began kindergarten, the quieter house created space for a reset. Running was the first place I noticed the change. The drive to chase times, compete, and check the box each day began to fade. At the same time, my body was asking for a break. After the Columbus Marathon, lingering foot pain forced me to slow down and pay attention. Add in hormonal changes that made even easy runs feel hard, and it became clear it was time to approach things differently.

I’ve been learning to embrace lower mileage, different expectations, and listening more closely to both my body and what running is meant to be in this season. In many ways, it’s come full circle — less about competition and more about community, connection, friendship, and joyful movement.

That shift has shaped my coaching, too. Running will always be part of what I offer, but my work is expanding into health and wellness coaching that supports the full picture: physical, mental, and social well-being.

My hope is to help women build strong, confident, joyful lives in every season.
